Unrestricted donations to the National Portrait Gallery are used wherever the need is greatest. Your support will help us to maintain and develop our world-class permanent Collection, making it relevant and accessible to the widest possible audience. Like other national museums, the Gallery is supported both by government and increasingly by a large number of individuals, companies, trusts and foundations, as well as by the income received from ticketed exhibitions, shops, catering and events.

Through giving to the Gallery where the need is greatest, our friends and supporters show their overall commitment to the many facets of the Gallery’s work.
